A young impoverished girl named Yashoda (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) consents to be a surrogate mother. She is brought to Eva, Madhu’s surrogacy facility (Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar). Yashoda’s day starts out nicely, but she soon begins to doubt herself because of a minor occurrence. After that, she decides to investigate the surrogacy mafia on her own. The key to the tale is how she deciphers it.
Yashoda movie review: Gaining Ground
Surrogacy’s fundamental setting is new to Telugu film, and it has been skillfully introduced in this story. Yashoda has a wholly new advantage as a result. The two directors did a good job of establishing the surrogacy idea as a whole and adding an intriguing element early on.
With each movie, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar improves and receives a more substantial role. She is wonderful in her role as centre director for surrogacy. Her flashback with Rao Ramesh in the second part is excellent. Unni Mukundan, a Malayalam actor, does his part neatly as well.
The real action starts in the second half because the twists are so well done. The second half did a good job of revealing the action and suspense components. Along with Sampath and Murali Sharma, who portray police officers, Kalpika Ganesh does well in her part.
Last but not least, Samantha is gorgeous as Yashoda and gives the movie life and soul. Samantha is in great form, whether it be in the manner she handled the pregnancy setting or performed the action portion. Sam maintains the fort admirably, and Yashoda is entirely centred on her personality. The picture has fantastic depth thanks to her determination not to miss her action movies and charming emotion when she discovers the real surrogacy fraud.
Negative Points:
The film’s logical problems rank among its worst flaws. The movie takes place in a surrogacy facility that is depicted as technologically advanced and crowded with cameras. Sam, though, effortlessly eludes them. There are many of these over-the-top scenes.
The beginning of the movie is intriguing until Samantha arrives at the surrogacy facility. The movie then falters when sequences about ragging and centre details drag on pointlessly. A clearer plot and more linear script would have improved the situation.
The underlying cause of Varalakshmi’s transformation into a certain way is not adequately displayed, which may have made the movie more emotionally powerful. Her character needed to have greater complexity and suffering to serve the villain’s agenda more effectively. The relationships between the main characters are quite flimsy.
