Krishna Story 2 – Little Krishna killed the demon

Vrajaraj Sri Nandji had no children. In old age, when Sriyashodaji hoped to have a child, a joyous festival was celebrated throughout the Vraja.

On the eighth night of Krishnapaksha in the month of Bhadrava, Yashoda also had a child, but at that time all the people and her mother-in-law Suddha were sleeping in a deep sleep due to the love of God. When Vasudeva took away Yashoda’s bride and went back, leaving Balakrishna, everyone fell asleep. Everyone understood that Sriyashodaji had a son. Thunder started ringing in Gokul. Have a big festival.

When Shri Krishna Chandraji was six days old, his sixth birthday was celebrated. On that day, they were brought out into the courtyard (of the house). Shree Nandji kept some people to guard Gokul and went to Mathura early on the same day, filling milk  curd, etc., in a chakda to pay the annual tax of Kansa.

At the same time, the putana demon appointed by Kansa to kill the young children came to Gokula. She was able to assume that form with demonic grace. At that time, she assumed the beautiful form of a goddess. She was wearing precious ornaments and dancing with a lotus in one hand. Seeing it, people felt that the real Lakshmiji had arrived. No one stopped them. She directly reached Nandji’s house.

Srikrishna Chandra was put to sleep in a cradle by Mother Yashoda. As soon as he saw Putna, he closed his eyes as if he had fallen asleep. Putana had applied a terrible poison to her breasts. He thought that the child would die as soon as he opened his mouth to drink from my breast.

Thinking of killing Srikrishna Chandra, she went to him, took him in her lap, and placed her breast in his mouth under the pretext of feeding him. Lord Krishna understood the evil of Putana. He started drinking her life along with her milk. So Putana’s whole body began to tear.

She started crying and screaming in pain. He wanted to free Sri Krishna. But Shri Krishna was drinking milk in such a way that he did not leave the breast. My son screamed in pain and ran away. All of his love had been forgotten. His terrible form was revealed. After going some distance, she fell dead.

Putana ran away with Shrikrishna, and the gopis and gopas ran after him. Lord Krishna was lifted from Putana’s dead body. Meanwhile, Nandaji met Vasudeva after paying taxes to Kansa in Mathura. Vasudevji told Nandji, “There is fear of being born in Gokul.”

You should go back soon. When Nandji returned with Gopo, he saw the lifeless body of a long and wide dhritana on the road. Who can raise such a big monster? In fear, people hacked his body into pieces with an axe and burned it.God drank the milk of Putana, so even though Papini was demonic, she became free. And his body was so sanctified that the smell emanated from it while it was being burned.Shri Nandbaba returned to Gokul and got the news of Putana’s arrival.

On the day Srikrishna Chandraji turned his side for the first time, Sriyashodaji celebrated a big festival. Sri Krishna’s birth star (Rohini) was also there on that day. There was a large crowd of gopis and gopis at the festival. Yashoda Maiya made Sri Krishna drink milk and put him to sleep in a cradle under a log, because there alone the child could sleep happily. Yashodaji began to welcome the gopis, asking a few children to be taken care of by Shri Krishna there.

One of Kansa’s servants was Shaktasura. He would disappear on his own. He came to Gokul and entered the bed under which Krishna was sleeping. He wanted the rod to be pushed down hard so that Lord Krishna, who was lying below, would be crushed. Lord Krishna understood the mind of the demon. He started crying and kicking his legs like he was crying from hunger.

With the impact of his tiny feet, the very heavy stick overturned and shattered into pieces. Shaktasur, who had entered the chhakada by hiding, died. Many vessels of milk, curd, ghee, etc. were kept on the chhakada. All those vessels fell with a loud crash. Milk and curd started flowing all around. All the gop-gopis rushed there upon hearing the loud sound of the hammer falling. Maiya Jashodaji quickly took Balakrishna into her lap.

Similarly, a demon named Trinavarta, sent by Kansa, came to Gokula. On that day, Yashodamayya was sitting in the courtyard with Shrikrishna on her lap. Knowing that the demon was on his way, the Lord made his body very heavy. Maiya Yashodaji could not bear the load of Shri Krishna.

Srikrishna was made to sit on the ground in the courtyard by Maiya Yashoda (on her lap) and began to do the housework herself. At that time, Trinavarta ran like a huge whirlwind. He blew up so much dust that the day became dark. No one could see anything. Darkening all around, the demon blew up Shrikrishna.

At first, Lord Shri Krishna became a little lighter and flew away. But going up into the sky, he strangled the demon with both hands and became very heavy. The strangulation caused the demon’s eye to pop out. He couldn’t even run away, and he couldn’t even speak.

At last, she died and fell on a stone in front of Nandji’s gate in Gokul. His body was mangled due to the fall from above. Lord Shrikrishna was also playing on it at that time. Why were the gopis already looking for Maia at the time of the storm, but despite searching for Jashoda, she was not found in the courtyard? The gopis lifted him from the demon’s body and placed him on Maiya Yashodaji’s lap.
