Lord Narayana himself incarnated on this Avanitala as Vasudeva Sri Krishna, Lord Krishna; this is accepted in the Mahabharata as well as in the Bhagavata.
In the Rajasuya yajna of Dharmaraja Yudhishthira, along with many sages, Devarshi Narada also arrives to see the splendour of the yajna.
Lord Krishna is my devotion and my Ideal
There are many things to learn from many people, but as Hindus, we have many ideals and we should absorb them into our lives.
Seeing Lord Krishna enthroned in the Sabha Mandapa along with other kings, he remembers the incarnation of Lord Narayana on earth and begins to contemplate Pundarikaksha Srihari in his mind.
After that, when the question arises in the meeting as to who should be worshipped first among the great dignitaries, the young hero Shiromani Mahatma Bhishma says, “I consider Lord Krishna to be the first to be worshipped in the whole world.” Karta says that “Vasudeva is the origin and emanation of this animal world, and the existence of this animal world is only through him.”
As Vasudeva is the unmanifest nature, the eternal doer, and the lord of all living beings, he alone is the supreme worshipper. Devarshi Narada also supports this proposition. Not only this, the deities shower flowers from the sky on Sahadeva, who supports this proposal of Bhishma Pitamaha, and Akashvani also approves it by saying “Sadhu Sadhu.”
The description of Sri Krishna’s childhood pastimes is not directly found in the Mahabharata, simply because those pastimes have nothing to do with the main plot of the Mahabharata; however, this deficiency is filled in the “Harivansh Parva,” which is an appendix to the Mahabharata itself. However, the childhood pastimes of Lord Krishna are occasionally mentioned here and there by various characters in the Mahabharata itself.
Chediraj Shishupal, who opposed the above proposal of Bhishma Pitamaha, who was an opponent of Sri Krishna from birth and became his staunch enemy after Rukmini-Haran, was the victim of the successive killings of Putana, Bakasura, Keshi, Vrishasura, and Kansa by him in his childhood. Events such as the overturning and lifting of Govardhan Mountain are mentioned. Although he mentions all these incidents with the intention of slandering Shri Krishna, he still admits the truth of all these things.
These supernatural characters described by Shatru reveal the nature of Lord Krishna as well as give those who believe that the sri Krishna of the Bhagavata is different from the Lord Krishna of the Mahabharata enough reasons to reconsider their belief. At that time, Astu spoke very harshly to Shri Krishna and Bhishma Pitamah, who admired him, but Lord Krishna continued to bear all his offences with heroic patience.
When Jagatavandya saw that Shishupala would not calm down despite the other members of the assembly’s persuasion, he recalled his Sudarshan Chakra (Sabhara 45:21) and, in full view, severed Shishupala’s head from the torso with a blunt-edged check, at which time all those present in the assembly saw a ray of light emanate from Shishupala’s body, Jagatavandya bowed
Sri Krishna’s Bhagavata is realised through this supernatural event, and the people gathered there also received direct proof that, even if there is no sinful love, being killed by the Lord’s hands gives him Sayujya Mukti, i.e., he belongs to the Lord. Get absorbed in the form.
This is his incomparable kindness. What a wonder they save lives even by killing, then, like the Pandavas who love them, sell themselves with them!
When Draupadi, humiliated by the evil misrule, cries out helplessly to Lord Krishna, she remembers him as “Gopijanvallabh,” “Vrajnath,” etc.
This also proves that Sri Krishna of Vrindavan and Sri Krishna of Dwarka were the same person. On hearing Draupadi’s pitiful cry, compassionate Keshava rushes from Dwarka and saves Draupadi’s shame by assuming the form of Vasravatar himself. Is it possible for an ordinary human being to protect his estranged devotee in such a supernatural guise?
The pious Pandavas were losing everything to gambling and suffering the hardships of exile. Shri Krishna also reached there. At that time, the great ascetic Chiranjeevi Markandeya Muni came to him and started talking to him about the glories of Shri Krishna.
“The Lord whom I saw in the form of a wonderful infant sleeping on a watpatra in the midst of the infinite waters—this is your dear Lord Krishna,” he says of his deluge experience. Due to the influence of his boon, I have an intact memory, a life span of thousands of years, and have achieved voluntary death.
Once, wanting to harm the Pandavas, Duryodha sent the enraged Durvasa Muni along with his ten thousand disciples as guests to the forest-dwelling Pandavas.
Maharaja Yudhishthira received from Lord Suryanarayana a miraculous, indestructible vessel in which he could feed as many guests as he wanted from the cooked food, but that was possible only until Draupadi had eaten.
Duryodhana’s Kuchakra arrived at the exact time when Draupadi herself had eaten herself after killing everyone. Atithivatsala Dharmatama Yudhishthira invited all the sages for a meal, and all the sages went to the banks of the Ganges to bathe and perform daily rituals, etc.
There was no material to feed thousands of Brahmins in such dire situations, and Draupadi was very worried. The Lord came running there as soon as he remembered Lord Krishna, his beloved and intimate.
As soon as he came, he said, “Sister! “I am very hungry; give me something to eat soon.” Draupadi told them the whole story. She stated that I had just gotten up after eating and that there was nothing left in that vessel.
Shrikrishna avoided his words and said, “Bring that vessel; I will see it!” Draupadi brought the vessel and held it in front of the Lord. When Shrikrishna saw a leaf of bhaji stuck on its bank, the Lord picked it up and put it in his mouth and said, “May Lord Srihari, the Yagnabhokta Vishwatma, be satisfied with this bhaji leaf.”
Then he said to Sahadevaji, “Go, call Munimandali for food.” Sahadeva went to Gangatat and saw that there was no one there. It happened that at the time when God decided to put a vegetable leaf in his mouth, all the sages were standing in the water and rubbing.
They all felt as if their stomachs were filled up to their necks with food. Due to this happening, the Pandavas were frightened, thinking that all the cooking they had done there would spoil. Fearing the wrath of the Pandavas, they all fled silently.
They knew that the Pandavas were devotees of the Lord, and since Ambarisha had been there at Durvasaji, they were very afraid of the Lord’s devotees. Not seeing them over the noise, Sahadeva returned. Thus, the surrendered Shri Hari protected his dependents. Blessed is his devotion! These types of characters clearly reveal the divinity and omnipresence of Lord Krishna.
Sanjay was Dhritarashtra’s minister, and he was gracious. He becomes the messenger of the Kauravas and goes to the Pandavas in Uppalvaya and returns from there to convey his message to Dhritarashtra. On that occasion, describing the glory of Shri Krishna, he says, “If Shri Krishna were to think, he could burn this entire world with only a single thought, but the entire world cannot be consumed by Shri Krishna.”
Where there is truth, where there is religion, where there is shyness, and where there is simplicity, there is Sri Krishna, and where there is Sri Krishna, there is victory. Lord Shri Krishna rotates the Kalachakra, Jagat Chakra, and Yoga Chakra day and night with his yoga power. He is the Lord of time, death, and the material world.
11 The Creator, Lord Vedavyas, was also present there at that time. He also supports Sanjay’s words and says, “Janasanni is telling the truth.” Puralpurusha, who has mastered that language, knows the form of Sri Krishna, the antar yami of all.If you listen to him with an open mind, he will liberate you from the clutches of samsara.
At the time when Shri Krishna goes to the meeting of the Korvas after taking the proposal of Sampa from the Pandavas, at the time Parashuram, V, Naam, etc. are there, many marshes and devarshis are present there to listen to his divine and ethical speech and become enchanted by Shri Krishna’s divine speech. When Shri Krishna is able to deliver his pious message, Maharshigan gradually persuades Duryodhana by approving the proposal and extolling Shri Krishna’s glory.
They show him that it is Lord Narayana who has appeared in the form of Shrikrishna, the ruler of the entire world, the lord of all, and the witness of all auspicious deeds, but time was dancing on Duryodhana’s head, so he not only ignored, but actually contradicted, the daily speech of the Mahatmas.Angry at Shri Krishna, he started thinking of a way to imprison him.
Shrikrishna realised his deceitful move. He scolded him in front of everyone, saying, “O evil one! “You are thinking that I am alone, and that is why you want to defeat me and imprison me, but you do not know that all the Pandavas, all the Andhakas, and all the Vrishnis are here, and Aditya, Rudra, Vasu, and all the Maharishis are also here.
Saying this, Shri Krishna laughed loudly. At the same time, the primordial Brahma gods’ lightning-like lights began to appear in their limbs. The bodies of all of them were like thumbs, and they were releasing sparks of fire from their bodies. Lord Brahma was seated on the forehead of Lord Krishna, Rudra in the chest, Indra in the arms, and so on.
Not only that, but Agni, Aditya, Sadhya, Vasu, Ashwinikumar, Marudgana, Visvedeva, and Yakshas, Kinnaras, Gandharvas, etc. were all appearing there. Gandivdhari Arjuna appeared from Shri Krishna’s right arm and Haladhar Balaramji from his left arm.
Yudhishthira, Bhimasena, Nakula, Sahadeva, and Pradyumna Adi Andhak, as well as the Yadavas of Vrishni Vansh, appeared from his back and arrayed themselves in front of Shri Krishna, armed with their weapons.

The conch, chakra, mace, Shakti, shark bow, kharga, etc.—all the shining weapons—also adorned the arms of Shri Krishna. From his eyes, nostrils, and earholes, fierce flames began to emerge, and from his forehead, bright rays like the sun burst forth.
Seeing such a terrifying form of Shri Krishna, all the kings present there began to tremble with fear and closed their eyes. Only Acharya Drona, Pitamaha Bhishma, Mahatma Vidura, and Sanjay, as well as the sage Tapodhan, sat with him. God gave them divine sight. At that time, the gods started to rain down from the sky.
On the request of Dhritarashtra, God also gave him divine sight, and he too was dazzled by that miraculous plane. In no time, the Lord assumed His divine form and immediately got up from the hall and walked away. What else could be more special than Shri Krishna’s Bhagavata?
In the Srimad Bhagavad Gita under Bhishma Parva, the glory of Lord Sri Krishna is seen heavily. There he tells Arjuna clearly in his Srimukha that “I am a birthless, indestructible ear.”
“I am the one who incarnates from time to time to protect the virtuous, destroy the wicked, and establish religion!” Not only that, but he claims that anyone who understands the divinity of my birth-karmas from their essence is eternally free of the cycle of birth and death.gets loose’.
This implies that Shri Krishna was not your average human being, complete with birth and death.Who, knowing the secret of his birth, is born and dies repeatedly; how can one be free of birth-death?Who is he above the Gaunajas, “The whole world arises from Me and dissolves in Me, nothing but Me?” but not at all!
He clearly explains to Arjuna, “I hide my Bhagavata by my yogamaya, so that the ignorant do not recognise me; not only that, I, who am unborn and imperishable, consider myself to be an ordinary human being who is born and dies.”
When Shri Krishna was roaming the earth in his divine form, there were many such characters as Kansa, Jarasandha Shishupal, Duryodhana, and others who saw him as a common human and ignored some of the Mahabharata’s ideal characters.
What if, in such a situation, people today indulge in a wide range of small and large fantasies or hypocrisies in their absence?Lord Krishna pleases Arjuna by showing him his universal form to manifest his incomparable glory.
Arjuna saw the aura of thousands of suns emanating from his body. All the gods, sages, and other ghosts reside in his body.
He has an infinite number of arms, a large stomach, a large mouth, and an infinite number of eyes. Their beginning, middle, or end cannot be seen. Arjuna also saw that the great warriors of the Kaurava party, like Bhishma, Drona, Karna, etc., were grinding their teeth and that all the people were drooling in their mouths.
Arjuna is horrified to see such a terrifying form of Lord Krishna and begins to praise him and apologise for treating him like a friend till now. Seeing Arjuna frightened, the Lord takes off his hideous form and appears before him again in a dark and beautiful form.
In this way, Shri Krishna directly showed Arjuna that Tribhuvan, who always appeared in front of him in the form of Mohan Shyam Sundara, was also created by him, and he is the one who remains apart from the world and continues to create and destroy it.
To know, see, and attain Him in His true form is possible only through His devotion. That is why the Lord gives the same advice to Arjuna at the end: “You should think of Me only, keep love for Me only, worship Me only, and revere Lord Krishna above all others.”
This is the final teaching of the Bhagavad Gita. The real form of Sri Krishna is also the same as that expressed in the Bhagavad Gita. He is beyond the world, superior even to the weakest soul. This form of Him is understood by surrendering to Him in a unique sense.
So to know what Srikrishnatattva actually is, we must leave the pride of our intellect and take refuge in Him. By his surrender, like Arjuna, he himself will explain his form to us, and at that time we will hear the voice of Arjuna and say, “Prabho!” By your grace, my ignorance has been removed, your real form has come to my understanding, and now I will doubtlessly do as you say.
Following that, whatever action we take will be inspired by the Lord. We are doing everything but nothing. This is the supreme vashikaran siddhi of the Gita. It is for such people that God has said that even if they destroy the entire world, they will do nothing. They become instruments in God’s hands.
Even the old patriarch Bhishma was one such yantra of God. He was wounded by Arjuna’s arrows, and lying on the bed, he was waiting for the sun of Uttarayana to leave his body at will. After the end of the war, when Yudhishthira was enthroned, one day Lord Krishna took all the Pandavas with him to the Kurukshetra field to preach the Dharma to all through Bhishmaji.
Bhishma was overjoyed to see Lord Krishna approaching and began to praise him with great love. Shri Krishna also praised Bhishma and prayed to the Pandavas to impart knowledge, saying, “With the departure of your body from this world, all knowledge will also depart from here.”
Bhishma said, “Prabho!” My mind is depressed with the pain of arrows, my limbs are suffering, and my talent is gone. My soul is on fire; my speech stops. How can I preach in such a situation? I don’t even know the directions.
I am living only on your power. Nath for! Forgive me, and please teach the Pandavas yourself, as you are the source of all scriptures. What good are others if even Jupiter hesitates to speak in front of you?”Just as a disciple cannot preach to anyone in the presence of a Guru, similarly, how can a human being like me preach in your presence?”
Hearing this, Shri Krishna gave a boon to Bhishma, saying, “Now you will not get dizzy, you will not faint, you will not get burned, and you will not suffer from hunger or thirst.” “By my grace, you will automatically remember all knowledge, and your intellect will remain steadfast in sattva guna.” At that time, Vyasa and many Maharishis were also present there. Everyone worshipped Lord Krishna through Vedic mantras and hymns, raining flowers from the sky.
The next day, Bhishma began his preaching. By the grace of God, his da, moi, thaak, glani, and pouth were all destroyed together. After the revolt, he preached for many days on important topics such as Varnasramadharma, Rajdharma, Apaddharma, Mokshadharma, Shraddhadharma, Dandharma, Stridharma, and so on.
Finally, when the sun reached Uttarayana, Mahatma Bhikkhu renounced his body in front of Lord Krishna and went to Divya Loka. At that time, the deities played dundubhis, flowers rained down from the sky, and the Pandavas duly performed their ritual rites.
Lord Krishna returns to Dwarka after ennobling Dharmaraja Yudhishthira on the throne of Hastinapur. On the way, he met Mahatejaswi Uttak Rishi. Hearing the destruction of the Kauravas by Shri Krishna, the sage became extremely angry. He said, “Shri Krishna!” The Kauravas were your relatives and loved ones.
Even though you had power, you did not protect them or stop them from trying to fight, so I will curse you. “No man shall be a serpent to despise me on the strength of austerities, so control your anger,” Shri Krishna said.
“I know that you are an ascetic and a devotee of the Guru, so I do not want your austerity to perish.” Then Lord Krishna kindly told him, “I am the creator and destroyer of all ghosts.” When the ages change, I am for the benefit of the people.I founded a religion by giving birth to a different kind of being out of desire.
I act in accordance with the vagina in which I manifest. This time I have incarnated as a human being. So I behave like a human being. “I humbly prayed to the Kauravas for pacification and even threatened them like a common man, but they did not heed my words, which is why they have all been killed in battle, but because they died in battle they have all attained great speed.”
Like the great sage Uttak Rishi, Shri Krishna also had to become a victim of Gandhari’s wrath. After the end of the war, King Dhritarashtra went to Kurukshetra Field along with all the women of Kuruvamsa, including Gandhari, Kunti, and Draupadi, to perform the cremation of his dead relatives and pay homage.
There they saw that the dead bodies of sons, brothers, fathers, and husbands were lying on the ground, and carnivorous animals and birds were chomping at their flesh. Seeing this horrible sight, all the women of the Kuruvamsh fell down on the ground and started crying. Patiparayana Gandhari also fainted and fell to the earth, unable to stop the momentum of grief.
When she regained consciousness after a few minutes, she looked furiously at Sri Krishna and started saying, “Sri Krishna! You could have prevented this terrible carnage if you had foreseen it, but in spite of your power, you did not prevent it, so I curse you with the strength of the penance I have accumulated by serving my husband for the way you neglected to destroy the Kauravas.
In the same way, you will be the cause of the destruction of your own relatives and see their destruction. In the 36th year from this day, all your ministers and sons will be destroyed, and you yourself will be killed like an orphan by the simple act of wandering in the forest; people will not even know about it.
Lord Krishna could have nullified the curse of Gandhari, but he was destined to destroy the Yadavas. By the end of the Mahabharata War, his incarnation, Bhubhar-Haran, had mostly accomplished his goal. He had to complete this yagya by killing the Yadavas, but no one had the strength to bend even the hair of the Yadavas under his umbrella.
So he considered it appropriate to use Gandhari’s curse as a means to destroy his vassals through mutual warfare, and that is why he accepted Gandhari’s curse out of respect for his extraordinary pativrata strength. And in time, the entire Yadav clan fought within itself and brought an end to the Yadav clan.
Having accomplished the purpose of his incarnation, the Lord decided to ascend to the supreme abode and carry out the curse of Gandhari. He completely stopped his senses, mind, and speech and settled down in samadhi. At the same time, inspired by him, a vyadha named Jara came toward it in search of prey.
Mistaking it for a deer, he shot an arrow into the soles of the feet of Lord Krishna, who was seated firmly in the samadhidasha. When he came near and realised his mistake, he got scared and grabbed both the feet of Shri Krishna. Shri Krishna reassured him and led him to his heavenly abode, illuminating the earth and the sky with his incomparable brilliance.
Some of the iconic characters of the Mahabharata came at that time, including Indra, Ashwinikumars, Rudra, Aditya, Vasus, Visvedevas, sages, Siddhas, and Apsaras; all the chief Gandharvas came to welcome him. In this way, Lord Shri Krishna ended his divine avatar leela by delighting the devotees with his Lokapavana Jagamangal images and saving them on the pretext of killing the wicked.
On the other hand, when the Pandavas heard about the destruction of the Yadavas and the abode of Lord Krishna, they were very sad. They also placed their grandson, Abhimanyukumar Parikshit, on the throne and appointed Dhritarashtra’s son, Yuyutsu, to look after him and set out for the Himalayas. After crossing the Himalayas, they started moving towards Mount Meru. On the way, Draupadi, Sahadeva, Nakula, Arjuna, and Bhimsen fell due to the end of life.
Alone, Dharmaraja went ahead with a dog and reached heaven. There he bathed in the Devanadi Ganga (Mandakini) and gave up his human body there, assuming a divine body. With the same divine body, he went to the abode of God.
There he saw Lord Krishna in the form of Brahmarup (a symbolic body). Chakra Adi was serving him by assuming the bodies of divine men with his weapons. The brilliant and valiant Arjuna was also present at his service. This is the real form of Lord Shri Krishna, and this is the sweet fruit of surrendering to His feet and loving Him steadfastly.
Shri Krishna is eternal. Even today, he gives darshan to his devotees and entertains them by playing with them. If we also want, we can take refuge at his holy feet and become eternally holy.
